Notes from the class

  • thank you for the great personal "elevator pitches".  Great to get to know you!
  • we agreed that it would make good sense to have the first assignment due during the second class... this so that those who might drop would do so earlier than later for the benefit of those on the wait list
  • if you are on the wait list, check in with admin as some people may have been scared off by the assignment
  • many thanks to Tim Coleman, winner of last year's Ken Spencer Business Plan competition for his hints and tips for success and to Bill Holmes for the overview of the competition
  • the majority of the class prefers to submit assignments digitally.  And so it is... the trees thank you.  Please use Microsoft Word or pdf.  Anyone who prefers to hand in a hard copy certainly may.  I would, however, like you to submit your final business plans in both hard and soft copy
  • check www.bus477.com often.  Ask questions and share stuff there for class and community participation grades
  • looks like most coffee shops are closed during our class breaks.  Don't forget to bring snacks, as 4 hours over the dinner hour could be harsh.  Maybe there will be cookies at the next class?
